June 18th Fishing Update

Wow what a change from last week. Not to say last week was bad, but wow what a change. Kings, Silvers, Halibut, Yellow Eye, Rock Fish, Short Raker! Many limits of Kings this week. Many many limits of Silvers this week! We did see some pinks toward the end of the week, but for the most part there were no pinks caught. We did see a few Chums but only a few, there were so many nice Kings and Silvers coming into the dock it was crazy. One boat came back to the dock at 9:00am with a limit of Kings and Silvers! Biggest halibut was 165 lbs caught by John. I never did hear where he caught it so I guess that one will remain a mystery! The weather this week was perfect!!! Flat calm water! Wa

June 12th Week

Here it is Friday again. The weeks are flying by. This is the end of our 2nd week. The halibut was much better this week thank last week, but still a bit slower than normal in my opinion. The biggest for the week was caught by Tom Anderson 139 lbs. Very exciting to see Tom come in with that fish. He had a 100 lb Halibut on his bucket list and has been chasing one for some time, so he was more than pleased to get such a trophy halibut! Monday and Tuesday were pretty slow and Wednesday was our best day overall for halibut. We had one King come in this week and a couple of silvers and no pinks or chums yet. The majority of the guests this week fished for Halibut primarily. This next we

June 4th week

You always want the first week to start off with a bang and perfect weather. Well, that did not exactly happen. We had a 30 kt wind storm for three days. Monday Tuesday Wednesday were all very windy days and made for very tough fishing conditions. Thursday & Friday were much better for wind and the catch limits were very much improved. Kings were not great this week. Halibut was slow because of the wind. There were 4 over 100 lbs biggest was 131 lbs. Friday was the best week for Kings, the Cowboys brought in 3 beautiful kings, we also had one boat with 18 Silvers/Coho on Thursday. Hopefully next week will be better. In the photos below there is a photo of a salmon. There are five
