John fell victim of Claire's ability to talk when at the Puyallup, Washington show in 2012 he became acquainted with Waters Edge. John talked to Claire at the show and booked a trip without Kelly saying anything. 11 years later John is still making his way to Elfin Cove to fish every June. 

John's ability to catch fish and his organization of his boat has surprised many young dock staff who have yet to learn, the old guys just do it better.
