Fall fishing in Elfin Cove is great! Silvers/Coho still seem a bit slower then normal, but…… the ones we are getting are big. Seeing some really nice big Coho come in. Halibut typically slows down at the end of the year, but we saw some great trophy halibut caught this past week. Fall is here, the grass has turned colors, temps are colder, the only thing missing are the Coho Salmon. We are catching them but it is not normal. When the bite comes on the fishing is good but when the bite is not on it is very slow, we are seeing some very large Coho though. Halibut is slowing down also it seems unless you ask Howard, he landed a 178 lb halibut this week. Very rare in Southeast Alaska, but yesterday we had a lightning storm roll thru. Sound of rain is wonderful. We have had about three days now of pretty steady rain at night and showers in the daytime. Wind for the most part has been good the past week, we had a good system move thru and chased out the high pressure that was stuck here, but since then the winds have been getting less and less.
