Fall is here, the grass has turned colors, temps are colder, the only thing missing are the Coho Salmon. We are catching them but it is not normal. When the bite comes on the fishing is good but when the bite is not on it is very slow, we are seeing some very large Coho though. Halibut is slowing down also it seems unless you ask Howard, he landed a 178 lb halibut this week. Very rare in Southeast Alaska, but yesterday we had a lightning storm roll thru. Lightening and thunder are not something you want to hear or see while out on the water. Rain was coming down in buckets at times yesterday. Forecast for this coming week look pretty good lots of sunshine in the forecast.
