Aug 27 Update
Aug 27 Fishing Update Silver Salmon remain strong this week. Three Hill George Island are the hot spots. They seem to be in the top 30’ of water. Ron is using a red flasher with a pink hoochie. I also heard white, and blue and purple. I really do not think it matters what you use, when the bite is on the bite is on. Aug 19th Fishing Update
SILVER SALMON!! It is always important in life to be able to look in the mirror and say wow your an idiot. Or wow I sure got that one wrong. I am here to fully admit that I was wrong. I was getting disappointed in our Silver Salmon on my last blog post. What a change! The big schools of Silver/Coho Salmon are here in abundance. Aug 13 Fishing Update
Yesterday the Shoreline building had a change out day. On our way back out from Juneau all of the guests were in Juneau early and we were able to leave early, it was so nice to have some extra time. We stopped at Pt Adolphus and watched whales for a few minutes. For next year I would really like to make this our standard time for leaving. Please be in the Juneau airport by 1:30pm. Aug 7th Fishing Update
Silver Salmon - I would say at this point the big schools of Silver salmon have not showed up yet. Are catching Silvers? Yes, but you have to work at it and stick with it to get your limit. Three Hill to Yakobi Rock are the main areas of focus. A small purple hoochie seems to work the best, we are seeing those little needle/candle fish in their stomachs. Depths are anywhere from 10’ to 75’. We are still catching pink salmon, but they are starting to slow down. Halibut w
