Aug 25 - 31 Fishing Report

Flying back to Elfin Cove this afternoon, it was another blue bird 70 degree weather day. Just amazing how flat the water was in every direction. Three Hill and in front of Gaff Rock were the hot spots for Silvers this past week. Many guests limited on Silvers this week, but it was not what we are used to the last week of August. My uneducated best guess is that the warm water temperatures and the dry weather held them out in the open ocean longer than normal and then once they decided to go it was like mad dash, I am hoping we are not on the decline for Silvers, this next week will be interesting.

We still had some good halibut caught. 136 lbs was the biggest. Halibut for the most part though is slowing down.
