July 13th

Fishing update Sunday morning July 13th.  Sunny skies today.  Today is Waters Edge Building change out day.  Biggest halibut for this group was 152 lbs.  Pink Salmon are really starting to be everywhere, I would expect them to start going into streams anytime.  Coho/Silvers are still very strong seeing many boats limiting on them and they are good sized for this time of year.  Most of the Coho are coming from down the coast still.  Down past Yakobi Rock. King salmon was closed on the 7th and I have not had many reports at all of guests catching them last week.  Halibut hot spots, saddle, Red bouy, Key hole.  Pink salmon seemed to be the preferred bait.  All of the guests this week had fished with us before, so that makes it fun and a bit easier to know we have experienced boaters out there.  Very grateful for our guests.  We very much appreciate you fishing with us.  Weather is always such a huge factor up here, this week was not perfect weather we had some rain and wind this week and some rough open ocean conditions at times.  A couple times though we had wind out of the East and it made the inside waters rough and the open ocean was just nice and flat.  Start each day with a plan but be flexible to change plans depending on what the weather does.  To change things up a big I have asked Nikolas to start helping me with he blog, so expect some posts from Nik in the future.
