Weather has finally changed. We are now into a more normal pattern, it is still raining at times, but we have sun mixed with the sun. Temps are so much warmer now, sometimes hitting the 60s. I was up Althorp looking for bears a couple nights ago and the no see ums were thick they are loving the warmers temps.
Kings are still very strong, the biggest complaint I am hearing is that there are some short ones but we are seeing some really nice kings! Check out the photos, one was 37” long. All Kings are being caught down the coast past Yakobi Rock.
Halibut was a bit slower this past week, we had one rookie boat catch two over 100 lbs, and the veterans this week did not get any over 100 beginners luck I guess. Taylor Bay, Fern Harbor, Lemesurier Island.
Seeing Silvers/Coho and Pink Salmon also. Humpback whales have also show up big time, one guest said they saw 50 and I was like 50 yea that seems like a lot so they pulled out their phone and showed me the photo and I think there was more then 50. Very amazing to see them bubble feeding.
