Happy New Year

2017 has finally arrived! Mary and I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. We are looking forward to the upcoming fishing season with great anticipation. Our goal is to improve on the excellent service and fishing equipment we have provided in the past. For the past 6 weeks or so we have been going thru each reel getting them ready for 2017. We have finished the last reel, they are serviced back to like new condition, boxed up and ready for fishing this summer.

It is time to start visiting with each of you at the upcoming outdoor shows. We are going to be at the Home Show in Sandy, Utah this weekend, if you are in the area please stop by. Next weekend, Jan 12-15, you can find Kelly, Kern and Michael in Denver at the ISE Sportsmen show, we would love to visit with each of you. Keep track of where we will be on our website on the upcoming event tab, http://www.watersedgealaska.com/up-coming-events

Fishing limits can change annually and we watch the decisions of the governing bodies closely. Every year in January the International Pacific Halibut Commission (IPHC) has a meeting to determine any changes to halibut catch limits. We do not anticipate a change in self-guided limits and will keep you updated of any changes. Jan 23-27 is the annual IPHC meeting. - http://www.iphc.int/meetings-and-events/calendar.html - Alaska Department of Fish and Game announces regulations for all other sport caught fish traditionally in April.
